About
Our History
CattleEye was founded in Jan 2019 by Terry Canning the son of a dairy farmer from Co Armagh Northern Ireland and Adam Askew a senior architect with over 10 years experience using image analytics powered by deep learning for the detection of cancerous tumours.
Terry had successfully exited his previous company FarmWizard when he started looking at technologies that could deliver his vision of a completely hardware free method of monitoring dairy cows. He was introduced to Adam Askew through a mutual friend and together with help from Adam’s colleague David McCleary they developed a proof of concept demonstrator.
Terry worked with Jayne to form a business model, strategy and an investment approach which with the help of the proof of concept demonstrator led to the raising of $1m pre seed investment. Adam was then joined by five of his former data science and development team. Adam and his team bring a combined experience of 40 years plus in healthcare image analytics powered by deep learning and today they are working hard building products that put very latest in AI powered video analytics into the hands of livestock farmers.
Our Mission

Culture
"[CattleEye] picks up on really subtle changes in gait that even a trained eye might miss initially. It's like having a super experienced hoof trimmer watching every cow every day. "
