An AI-Powered Approach to Lameness Management

Challenge
Highfields Farm, a large dairy with over 1,050 Holstein cows, sought to improve welfare and lameness prevention despite good existing standards. Their traditional monthly vet scoring was deemed too late to prevent cases from advancing to full lameness. The farm required a new solution for earlier, continuous detection of mobility issues for more proactive intervention.
Results
The farm achieved an 8% reduction in lameness over 18 months. The system led to earlier detection, faster treatment , and reduced recovery times. Real-time data helps the team prioritise interventions and make confident decisions
"It's really easy to use, easy to install, gives us a reassurance that cows are being monitored every day. CattleEye is really something that I wouldn't be without on the farm."
