CattleEye was pleased to attend two prestigious events in the global dairy industry—the World Dairy Expo in Madison, Wisconsin, and The Dairy Show 2024 at the Royal Bath & West Showground in England.

CEO Terry Canning led the team in Wisconsin, while UK Business Development Manager Roger Allen attended the big event in the west of England. The firm’s presence at both events allowed it to showcase its cutting-edge AI-driven solutions and showcase to farm owners how the technology can boost productivity and profitability of their businesses.

At both shows, CattleEye presented its innovative Body Condition Scoring (BCS) system. This hardware-free, AI-powered platform drew significant attention from attendees, particularly for its ability to help farmers reduce lameness by up to 50% and save £75 per cow annually. There was also significant engagement around how the system benefits herd health and farm sustainability.

The company’s presence at World Dairy Expo was also a critical part of its strategic expansion into the US market. With growing demand from American dairy farmers, CattleEye is positioning itself as a leader in delivering cost-effective, scalable solutions tailored for large dairy operations in the US.

“Our presence at World Dairy Expo reflects our ambition to bring our technology to new territories,” said Terry Canning. “We’ve seen a lot of excitement from farmers stateside, who are especially drawn to our cost-saving value proposition. The potential to save £75 per cow annually while improving overall herd health and productivity has really resonated with them, particularly given the current economic pressures in agriculture.”

CattleEye’s AI solution goes beyond merely automating herd monitoring; it delivers real-time data that can be used to make smarter, more informed decisions. As part of its presentation, CattleEye demonstrated how its camera-based system eliminates the need for time-consuming manual checks and wearables. By doing so, it drastically reduces the burden on farm staff and increases efficiency, particularly on large farms with over 1,000 cows.

Roger Allen said: “We were very pleased by the overwhelming interest at both events, particularly around our BCS system. Farmers were excited about how our platform offers real-time, actionable insights without the need for wearables or costly hardware. It’s clear that our AI technology is resonating with dairy producers looking for solutions that increase profitability while improving animal welfare.”

The feedback from attendees at both events was overwhelmingly positive. Industry experts and dairy farmers alike expressed enthusiasm about the sustainability benefits of CattleEye’s solution, with its ability to optimise feed usage, lower emissions, and ensure compliance with environmental regulations. The company’s recent acquisition by GEA Group was also a focal point, as it signals the broader integration of CattleEye into the global dairy market.
